Created as part of "Prototyping for Technical Designers", I took on the role of a developer to plan, research, design, develop, test, and iterate a full and polished game in 8 weeks alongside my dissertation research project. Twisted Trek is the first example of a full game featured in my portfolio.
The main positives from this project come in the form of personal development as engine efficiency is key for the University module associated with the game. I used Unreal Engine's built-in profiling tools reinforced with good coding practice to gauge and fine-tune settings in order to maximize engine efficiency.
My main challenge was to overcome my lack of design experience through persistent iteration and user feedback. As the project is in blueprint, the project's GitHub page doesn't offer much insight into coding standards. For a further deep dive, please contact me via my email address for the full project files!
